Sub-Mission on Seeds & Planting Material: 50% Subsidy on Certified Rabi Crop Seeds Announced by Mahabeej

Mahabeej opens booking for certified chickpea (JAKI-9218) and wheat (Samadhan) seed bags at 50% subsidized rates via MahaDBT.
The Maharashtra State Seeds Corporation (MAHABEEJ), in coordination with the State Department of Agriculture, has announced subsidized seed distribution for the 2026 Rabi season under the Sub-Mission on Seeds and Planting Material (SMSP).
Subsidized Seed Availability & Booking - Certified Varieties: - Chickpea: JAKI-9218, Digvijay, and Phule Vikram (30 kg bag subsidized up to ₹1,200). - Wheat: Samadhan (NIAW-1994), Trimbak, and MACS-6222 (40 kg bag subsidized up to ₹800). - Safflower: Bhima and Sharada (10 kg packet). - Application Method: Farmers must apply on the MahaDBT Farmer Portal under "Seed Distribution Scheme" or register with their village Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS).
