Central Government Launches National Green Hydrogen Mission Updates
New incentives announced for green hydrogen producers to expedite India's clean energy transition goals.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has notified fresh financial incentives under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) program. Producers of green hydrogen and electrolyser manufacturers can claim up to 10% cash subsidies on production value. The Central Government has allocated an additional budget of ₹4,500 Crores to build manufacturing clusters in coastal regions, aiming to position India as a global exporter of green fuel by 2030.
