National agricultural cooperative operates calibrated open-market sales to maintain balanced wholesale dal prices ahead of the festival season.

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) and the Department of Consumer Affairs have begun releasing calibrated quantities of chana (gram) and tur (arhar) from the national price stabilization buffer.

Market Stabilization Impact - Fair Consumer Prices: Buffer stocks are milled into Bharat Dal and retailed at ₹60/kg for chana dal, preventing artificial speculative spikes in urban consumer markets. - Farmer Price Floor Intact: NAFED confirmed that procurement centers across Maharashtra will purchase fresh Kharif harvest at full Minimum Support Price (MSP) rates, preventing distress liquidation in local APMC mandis.
