The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has approved financial sanctions totaling ₹2,800 Crores under Tranche XXX of the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for infrastructure projects across Vidarbha.
Allocation Breakdown - Irrigation Structures: Construction of 185 medium and minor check dams and restoration of 42 dilapidated lift irrigation projects along the Wainganga and Wardha rivers. - Rural Connectivity: Upgradation of 840 km of rural farm-to-mandi roads to facilitate fast transport of perishable agricultural produce. - Drinking Water Security: Installation of community solar-powered water filtration units in fluoride-affected villages in Yavatmal and Chandrapur districts.
