SLBC guidelines mandate conversion of short-term crop loans into 3-year restructured loans with interest subvention for eligible distressed farmers.
Following state government notifications on mid-season crop stress, the State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC) Maharashtra has issued formal directives to all nationalized, private, and District Central Cooperative (DCC) banks regarding credit restructuring.
Key Restructuring Directives - Eligibility: Farmers holding operational Kisan Credit Card (KCC) crop loans in revenue circles declaring over 33% crop loss or anisanwari below 50 paise. - Repayment Extension: Conversion of existing short-term crop loans into medium-term loans repayable over 3 to 5 years, with an initial 1-year moratorium. - Fresh Credit Eligibility: Restructured accounts will be treated as standard, making affected farmers immediately eligible for fresh Rabi crop loans.
