The Department of Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Government of Maharashtra, has issued a revised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to eliminate delays in assessing weather-induced crop damage.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Highlights - Tripartite Survey Team: Within 48 hours of a natural calamity (hailstorm, cloudburst, or cyclonic inundation), a joint team comprising the Village Talathi, Agriculture Assistant (कृषी सहायक), and Insurance Surveyor must inspect affected survey plots. - Geo-Tagged Mobile App: Surveyors must upload 3 geo-tagged photographs per survey number showing visible crop damage, directly logged into the state relief portal. - Public Display: The completed panchanama list must be pasted at the Gram Panchayat office for 48 hours for public verification before final fund transfer.
