The Government of Maharashtra has officially notified the rollout of Phase-II of the Project on Climate Resilient Agriculture (PoCRA / नानाजी देशमुख कृषी संजीवनी प्रकल्प), backed by World Bank funding of ₹2,200 Crores.
PoCRA Phase-II Highlights - Geographic Coverage: Encompasses 7,000 villages across 21 districts, with focused interventions in the Purna river saline belt (खारपाणपट्टा) spanning Akola, Amravati, and Buldhana. - Direct Subsidies to Farmers: Individual farmers receive direct DBT funding for micro-irrigation, shade-net houses, community farm ponds, and salinity-tolerant seed varieties. - Transparent Approval: Beneficiary applications are submitted exclusively via the official PoCRA portal with Gram Sabha verification.
