World Bank SMART Project Grants ₹15 Lakh Equity to 250 Farmer Producer Companies in Maharashtra

State of Maharashtra's Agribusiness and Rural Transformation project funds pulse grading, cleaning, and dal mill infrastructure for FPOs.
Under the World Bank-assisted SMART (State of Maharashtra's Agribusiness and Rural Transformation) Project, the Maharashtra Government has disbursed matching equity grants of up to ₹15 Lakhs per FPO to 250 Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs).
Infrastructure Built by Beneficiary FPOs - Post-Harvest Equipment: Installation of modern pulse cleaner-graders, gravity separators, and 1-tonne-per-hour mini dal mills in rural market nodes. - Direct Commodity Sales: FPOs in Akola, Washim, and Nanded will process farmer member produce locally, packaging certified packaged unpolished dal for direct supermarket distribution. - Working Capital Support: Access to institutional credit lines backed by the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for FPOs (CGTMSE).
