Directorate of Agricultural Marketing mandates digitized, tamper-proof electronic weighbridges integrated directly with e-NAM digital receipts.
To ensure complete transparency and eliminate trader under-weighment malpractices during peak Kharif market arrivals, the Directorate of Agricultural Marketing has issued compliance guidelines for all 305 APMCs in Maharashtra.
New Mandi Transparency Standards - e-NAM Integrated Weighbridges: Electronic weighbridge systems are directly linked to the central e-NAM server, generating automated gross and tare weight slips without manual intervention. - Instant SMS Verification: When a farmer's vehicle is weighed, an instant SMS displaying exact net weight is delivered to the farmer's registered mobile number. - Zero Toll on Farmers: Mandis are strictly prohibited from levying separate weighment charges or unauthorized unloading deductions on visiting farmers.
