Scientists recommend short-duration chickpea and safflower varieties for fields with receding monsoon moisture in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
The ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), Hyderabad, has published its post-monsoon agricultural contingency advisories for Maharashtra's Vertisol (deep black soil) regions.
