e-NAM Integration Milestone: Over 150 APMC Mandis in Maharashtra Enable Inter-State Pulse and Cotton Trading

Electronic National Agriculture Market facilitates cross-state digital bidding, allowing Vidarbha farmers to sell directly to millers in Gujarat and MP.
The Small Farmers' Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), in partnership with the Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB), has announced that 154 APMC mandis in Maharashtra are fully operational on the e-NAM inter-state unified digital trading platform.
Transparent Bidding and Direct Farmer Settlement - Inter-State Competition: Cotton and soybean lots assayed in mandis like Akola, Amravati, Latur, and Hinganghat receive competitive electronic bids from registered buyers across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. - Direct Bank Settlement: Payments are cleared via the e-NAM gateway directly into the farmer's bank account within 24 hours of lot acceptance. - Free Digital Assaying: Mandis provide free quality assaying reports (moisture, foreign matter, oil content), empowering farmers with scientific proof of produce quality during bidding.
